Dear Voters,

Rachel Kaprielian recently resigned from her seat as our State Representative to accept a job with the Patrick Administration as the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.  I am writing to you today to inform you of my candidacy for the House seat vacated by Ms. Kaprielian.

My name is Jonathan Hecht and I am seeking your support to be your next State Representative.

I am a Democrat to the core.  I believe that fairness, equal rights, and equal opportunity are not only best for us as individuals, but also the best guarantee of a healthy and productive society.  I believe in working for you and with you for the values we share, such as education, affordable health care, preserving the environment, and fairness in our tax system.

Our state and country are at a crossroads.  In this time of many challenges, we need elected leaders with broad experience, sound judgment, and a proven record of results.  We need representatives with integrity and independence of mind who will do what is best for the overall community, and particularly for those who have little influence or voice.

I am that kind of person and I am asking for your support to be your next State Representative.
