Cambridge and Watertown Pool Season Extended
PATRICK-MURRAY ADMINISTRATION ANNOUNCES SEVERAL DCR POOLS TO REMAIN OPEN THROUGH AUG. 31

WHAT: The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will extend the season of several popular Boston-area swimming pools in light of late school openings and anticipated hot, dry weather over the next several days.

WHERE: These seven pools below will remain open through August 31, 2010:
Boston: Reilly Memorial Swimming Pool (Brighton)
Boston: Olsen Swimming Pool (Hyde Park0
Cambridge: Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool (Magazine Beach)
Everett: Allied Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool
Malden: Holland Memorial Swimming Pool
Somerville: Dilboy Memorial Swimming Pool
Watertown: Dealtry Memorial Swimming Pool

Four other pools in the urban area will remain open through Monday, Sept. 6, as previously scheduled. Spray pools and wading pools also remain open through Sept. 6.

These four pools will remain open through Sept. 6, 2010:
Boston: Cass Memorial Swimming Pool (Roxbury)
Cambridge: McCrehan Memorial Swimming Pool
Chelsea: Vietnam Veterans Memorial Swimming Pool
Somerville: Latta Brothers Memorial Swimming Pool
